Thanks for those links.

Indeed I think people jumped the gun on interpreting that article to such extreme. The way I read it, it is only setting the stage for them not to be bound by published works. Not that its undoing all that has already come, but that if there are any continuity discrepancies from the new material, then that will override the old. It may well be that it replaces entire plot lines, but no one needs to cross that bridge till we get there.

I do agree. At any rate, I am very excited for the new Star Wars developments. They've got the old cast with the original actors, and Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are working out and assigned nutrition specialists. This had better turn out well.

The years have not been kind to those two. Fisher in particular looks like a train wreck.

On another note,

How are the respect threads going? Are they being used at all in the mainland?

They are, but I cannot vouch for the regularity. I see them linked now and then when applicable.

They seem to still be getting made, so that's good. I've been planning a comprehensive Warcraft respect thread, I just need to get to it. There's a lot of material there.

I've lost touch w/ Warcraft. Would love to get back into it.

You think they'll ever make an RTS from the franchise again?

It is not something I'd rule out. Blizzard's position is such that they could tell a story in an RTS, as opposed to WoW, in the same way that they release novels or manga; on the side. I would love to get back to something like Warcraft III. If that happens however, it will not be anytime soon. Blizzard has a lot in development, such as Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and project Titan. WoW is getting a lot of focus on improvement and innovation, slow though it may be, and is still the top MMO by far. Slow and steady is how Blizzard operates.

In short, my hopes are high and may stay there for quite some time.

Warlords of Draenor is coming out. That's worth looking into. If time remains an issue, Hearthstone matches take an average of ten minutes, and can be played with friends or family members. Its free, and quite fun.

As far as story, the most recent novels have been excellent: War Crimes and Vol'jin: Shadows of the Horde.

I'd love a WC4, but we know it's unlikely. Shame really, they made some brilliant RTS games.

Welcome back Mata!

I wouldn't mind a new Warcraft game that runs on the SC II engine.
