Factpile's not what it used to be

Alrighty ladies and gents. I had started to make a return to Factpile as of late, but I've found that it is but a shell of it's former self. I am truly disheartened by this, and well, I just have no reason to show myself here again, ever. There are some of you who I truly respect and enjoyed my time here because of it, and for those of you who would like, my email address is skrunks@live.ca

But after this post, I'm deleting both Factpile and Factpiletopia from my bookmarks, as well as deleting my account on Factpiletopia. I just don't have the time to justify wasting 5 hours on a pointless debate who challenges each and every single point that one attempts to make with nothing more then 'you're f***ing stupid'. To many bad fish polluting the pond in my opinion. Perhaps factpiletopia is different, I can't take that chance, I have too much I want to accomplish, and Factpile treated me like a cancer not of the body but of time. I can't waste time debating each and every single opinion, and I'm no longer going to try.



So this is a very painful farewell. Twas fun Factpile, and last time I said I might return, but this time it's for good. Hopefully you guys will get along better in the future.

To say this is disapointing would be a severe understatement.

You'll be missed Skrunks. The pile will roll on a tiny bit worse off for your departure (and indeed for the existence of those who brought it about)

Hopefully we get a resurgence of intelligent debater types (ImperfectSymmetry, Garfuncle and the like) and fewer meaningless trolls and the place becomes all the better once more... Hopefully. I can see your point though.

sadly, i must agree with skrunks... its becoming more and more common...

however, it is also a total shame to see one of our more competent group members leave...
