Well, I just read Avatar: The Last Airbender The Promise Part 1, and I must say I was kind of impressed. Albeit after seeing the preview pages I hadn't been expecting much, but it was definitely not bad, certainly worth reading.

So, has anyone else gotten around to reading this? If so, what were your feelings on it?

You should come inside the box...
If Harley Quinn is your favorite character, you're not a comic book fan, you're a Batman: The Animated Series fan.

Where does it fit in the Chronological Order of the Canon, to be sure, Major?

Can you give a synopsis? Haven't even heard of this.
loneliness + alienation + fear + despair + self-worth ÷ mockery ÷ condemnation ÷ misunderstanding x guilt x shame x failure x judgment n=y where y=hope and n=folly, love=lies, life=death, self=dark side

It's not out yet, It's called The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra, it is scheduled for later this year.

Okey doke. MAJOR Spoiler Warning, my synopsis of Avatar: The Last Airbender The Promise Part 1 is as follows

After the war is over the Avatar is in the process of relocating the Fire Nation colonies in the Earth Kingdom. The Fire Nation citizens in the Earth Kingdom don't take kindly to this and eventually Zuko who initially supported the relocation has a change of heart, not wishing to uproot families from homes they've been in for generations. This causes tension between Zuko and Aang (And more importantly the Fire Nation & Earth Kingdom) once more. Oh, and Toph has a metalbending school. Also the namesake is because of a promise Aang made to Zuko that he would end him should he become like his father.

Finally got to read Part 2 of this, it was pretty damn good. With Legend of Korra having had pretty much an entire season between my reading these, I expected my interest would be somewhat dulled, but after the first few pages, that couldn't be more wrong.

The third part is coming out later this month, and there is a new trilogy called 'The Search' planned to follow.
