Who is your favorite detective/crime fighter?

Postby willamz20 » Wed Sep 02, 2009 9:50 am

I'm a huge fan of thrillers, mysteries, and horror novels.
So, my favorite crime fighter is FBI Special Agent Aloysius Pendergast from the series that started with The Relic by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child

like Lincoln Rhyme from some of Jeffery Deaver's books. He is an expert crime scene analyst that has become paralysed after an accident on a crime scene.

Sherlock "I invented your damn genre Batman, and I figure out bigger mysteries without a bat(plot device) in sight!" Holmes.

Pot smoking, fencing, able to bend steel bars in his bare hands, uber intellectual and the only man to be able to wear that hat and not look like a dog of some description.

Sherlock Holmes & Temperance Brennan, though the latter is not technically a detective she still helps in solving crimes.

Can't believe I didn't mention him sooner, but His Grace and Lordship, Commander Samuel Vimes of the Ankh Morpork City Watch. From drunks to werewolves, Kings to entire armies, there is nothing this man will not arrest, and remain utterly awesome throughout.

Think Dirty Harry with a crossbow, or wielding a small, hand-held dragon.

Im gonna be shot for this, but recently Ive began to like Nightwing (the new Batman if it counts) better than Batman. So im going with him and having Batman as a close second
Hope for the best. Plan for the worst.
