[i]With the Firedonian Civil War only intensifying, the Republic Parliaments have approved the sending of a full expeditionary army to supplement the original expeditionary division. The nations Crussia and Vatace have sent their own armies as well to support their respective families the Kottes and the Renates. The Order fleets have taken up the role of protecting the transport ships of the Allied nations, and earlier this week engaged a massive Cassandrian fleet that included a Tamar Dreadnought and what is estimated to have been eighty percent of the Cassandrians' total ships. The Cassandrian feet was eventually driven back with the Tamar and an estimated sixty to seventy percent of their ships destroyed, while the Order in return suffered relatively minimal losses. Lord Admiral Tyron has reportedly stated that he is confident that this is likely the last offensive the Cassandrian Navy will take during the war.

Alongside the troops and horses and dinosaurs sent to Firedonia, reports have come in of strange craft and weapons also being supplied to the region. When asked for comment, King Derrick stated, "Given the pressure Queen Cassandra is under at this time, it is likely that she will be deploying many experimental weapons to turn the tide of war in her favor. Therefore, it is necessary for us to be doing the same, as well as to finally use some secret weapons we've been building up for some time. Let it never be said that the Repubic lost a battle because it had become lax in the technological side of warfare!"

As well, an entire battalion's worth of Engineering Golems was being transported to Firedonia, reports state, prompting many to question just what the Allied offensive has planned for the assault on Falhy. Unfortunately for those many, there will be no way of knowing until the battle takes place.

Update on the Romano Civil War

The Empire is hit hard by the plague. No reports of the scale just yet. All troop movements have been halted.

"Rebel and foreign armies attacked the city of Falhy and our heroic forces stood their ground against overwhelming forces. The battle itself lasted two whole days as our heroes fought against the combined might of Crussia, Vatace, Mad King's "Republic", and the Lupus Confederacy. Sadly our forces was forced to retreat from the city but gave the Rebels and their foreign supporters a pyrrhic victory which has destroyed the offensive capability of the Minervian Army and that of their mercenary armies.

Her Majesty, Queen Cassandra has congratulated the army for their heroic sacrifices at Falhy and stated that we're going to bleed the Vatans and Crussians white! Most military analysts are stating that the Vatan and Crussian noble classes cannot safely continue to send waves after waves of men to their deaths without fear of a growing resistance from their people. With the plague that is consuming the world will take its toll on the monarchs of Theodosia and their governments. Queen Cassandra has ordered health and safety screenings in all cities and villages. Travel has been restricted until the crisis is over.

In Politics we regret to inform our readers that the Minister of Information Zosima Filipi has died in a tragic accident in the palace. After showcasing her first draft of the article to her Majesty she fell down a flight of stairs and broke her neck. Her Majesty stated that the tragic accident that cost the life of Minister Filipi has filled her with sorrow. But she's pushing forward by appointing a new minster of Information and vows to continue to give her people the most honest news papers in the world."

The Tropic Chronicles

On Thursday the Minervian army along with expeditionary forces from Vatace, Crussia, the Republic, and the Lupus Confederacy launched a massive assault against dug-in Cassandrian forces in the city of Falhy. Along with Cassandra and some of her most elite soldiers, the Cassandrian forces were supported by Neco troopers from the Sorcerers' League and mercenary forces from the world over, including the Vampire Federation, the Elven Reich, Valand, and Boreas. After two days of bloody figting outside and within the city itself, the Cassandrian army was finally forced to retreat, leaving the Minervians and their allies victorious. Over one hundred and sixty three thousand casualties were suffered by the overall combined forces of Cassandra's army, with a little over forty thousand being captured, and even more wounded. The losses for the victors were heavy as well: over one hundred and six thousand Minervians dead, over half of the Republic Expeditionary force killed, around eighty thousand casualties from the combined losses of Vatace and Crussia, and almost 6 thousand losses for the Lupus forces. While this victory coupled with the victories at Saeburg at Goldcorn have proven devastating for Cassandra's armies, the recent fighting has been the same for the combined allied forces. There are confirmed reports that the royalty of Vatace and Crussia are considering recalling their troops, and the Republic Parliament, while still committed to the war, are looking for ways to reduce such losses. While not exactly a Pyrrhic victory, the offensive power of the Minervian forces and that of their allies has been severely impacted.


While both sides lick their wounds, a new threat has risen and threatens not just Firedonia but the world. A deadly plague is beginning to sweep the lands, one that so far only truly powerful magic has been able to combat. While some believe the plague came from Falhy, as it was the first location plague was encountered, this notion has become more and more unfeasible due to manner in how the sickness has spread. As nations tighten their borders and screen even their most remote villages for signs, the King Derrick has boldly stepped up to the challenge of the plague and gathered the most studied doctors and mages together into one organization: the Center for Disease Control, or CDC. The CDC's primary objective is to study and defeat diseases and viruses not with purely magical means, but with conventional vaccinations as well. The CDC is currently "waging war" against this new plague with the best tools and medical knowledge accumulated by the Republic, and has currently requested every nation the world over for unhindered movement within their lands to combat the sickness on every front. King Derrick himself has backed up this request, and even added that foreign doctors and specialists can also join the CDC, stating that it is not just a Republic organization, but an organization for all the countries, free from any politics and whatnot and only focused on one thing: the health of all people.

End of Season Three

The spy reports of his encounter from the basement of a villa that could be owned by Loxus. The reports state there was several odd machines throughout it. Loxus was escorting Cesare Gorgia and a Solvian Merchant through the basement full of odd machines. The three come to a figure in case of armor as the figure was writing unnaturally fast on paper.

Loxus said to Cesare Gorgia, "You see my lord with the knowledge my friend has will give us the edge in future conflicts."
"Where did he come from?" Cesare Gorgia asks
Loxus answers while smiling, "From the stars."
"What?" A puzzled Cesare Gorgia replied, "How can he be from the stars? Is he a God?"
"No." Loxus answers, "From another world."
"So the heavens?"
"No from another planet in the galaxy."
"You cannot be serious." Cesare Gorgia replied with disgust, "The Gods only created us and this world."
With a grin on his face Loxus states, "You sure about that?"

Loxus walks up to the figure and states, "Fneu, introduce yourself."
Fneu stops writing and stood up. He walks around the table showing his metal frame and his face hidden behind a helmet with no eye slots. Fneu states in a machine voice, "Greetings, I am Fulcrum navali exemplar unitatis MMCLV, translated to Nerian it means Naval Tactical unit model 2155. You may call me Fneu for short."
Cesare Gorgia was unnerved at the sight of this metal man. He asks bluntly, "What are you?"
With any emotion in his voice he answers, "I'm a Naval Tactical Unit AI developed and deployed by the United States of Vidya Navy. I was assigned to the deep space recon ship the USF Morbus Stragulum on a explorering mission to the Waccamaw Sector and chart it out. My ship was damaged and crashed into the planet's surface. The crew was killed but the database and myself remained. Loxus found me and help me built a body for myself."

Cesare Gorgia was scared but interested in this metal man from the stars. He asks, "Did the ship bring the plague?"
"Yes." Fneu replied, "It's the common Vidyan Flu but since the lifeforms of this planet haven't encountered this they're unable to deal with it. I project somewhere between 30 to 40% of the planet's total population will die from the flu."
Loxus adds like laughing, "And thanks to my friends in the North Nerio Trading Company those numbers will hold."
"So you're behind this!" screamed Cesare.
"Of course." Loxus answered, "Think about it. Firedonia will be crippled, all of your enemies crippled, the Empire cannot be stopped. And for those odd looking Theodosians." Loxus bursts out laughing. When the laugher dies down he continues, "Thanks to Fneu here we're get some wonderful weapons and vehicles. No one can stop the Empire this time."

"But our people!"
"You never cared for the plebs Cesare Gorgia. So why care now." Loxus looks to Fneu, "What's your mission now."
Fneu answers, "USV Naval protocol states I should keep my interaction with the local population to a minimum. However the CIS Classified Protocol have been activated and it states my mission is to prepare this world for future colonization and annexation by the USV. My mission is to stabilize the planet to allow this to happen. Current expansion operations in this sector has it that Domhanda will make first contact with the planet in 200 years time. However if we stabilize the planet we can make this happen within an hundred years."
"You see Cesare plan for the future. This is going to happen my friend might as well make it easier for this world's population." Loxus adds.

Cesare Gorgia yells, "We should let the Empire and this world ruled by an alien power! Throwing away our right to govern our own lands!"
"Why should you care Cesare? You'll be dead by then. You can be known as the first ruler of the world. You'll be immortal for all time."
Cesare Gorgia steps back and paced around to think about what is happening. After a few moments of thought he turns to Loxus and Fneu and states plainly, "How soon can you make these new weapons and equip them to my army?"
Fneu answers, "If my ship is secured and guarded I can download the specs needed and with my knowledge I'll upgrade your factories to built the weapons you need for your army."
Loxus adds with a grin, "Like that we enter a brave new world."
It's only funny until someone gets hurt...then it's hilarious!
