Half Turn

There will be nothing but half turns until the Battle of North Pageland is over. Just letting you guys know. To hold you over I made another entry for Cassandra's Journal.

Cassandran Journal

11th of Martius 881 AA

"On 1st of Julius, we arrived in Romanorum and was the largest city I ever seen. It was a sign of a powerful empire with the massive statues, wide streets, massive buildings, and millions of people. I was in awe I will admit but once we entered the slums I viewed it as the dark heart of this empire. The shit covered streets, the terrible water, people upon people living on top of each other. A terrible life for a terrible people I viewed it. Luckily we arrived into one of the rich districts and we arrived at the villa of a Romano Senate named, Damien Audens. He was one of the youngest Senators in the Senate and was apart of a powerful family. He and the strange man who I learned was named Malcolm spoke to each other before handing me over to the Senator. Malcolm refused to take any denariis from the Senator simply stating, "Just hold up your end of the bargain Senator. If you don't than well... You get to see how real I can be."

I didn't understood what he went back then but time has answered that question. Regardless I was lead to a slave bath and was washed and later given my first real meal in months. Left over fruits, beef, and bread with some water. I can't believe I was happy to eat leftovers but eating nothing but old bread for a few months I would have eaten anything and be happy. After my meal I was taken to my master for inspection. He liked what he saw but noted my long red hair was too long for his liking. But regardless he commanded me to his bed and I obey. At the time I viewed it as rape but over time that would change as well.

Next morning I listen to my desire to survive and cut my hair short to his liking. I figured now the best way to survive was to be on his good side. Everything went well until I learned of the lottery. Winning that lottery was not a joy. He would put all of the names of his slaves and the name drawn was the one tortured that night for his entertainment. That night all of the slaves were gathered and the names were drawn. The name Seia was drawn and before I reacted two of his bodyguards grabbed me and dragged me to the whipping posts. I was told while being strapped between the posts from Fabia, his most trusted woman slave that my name was now Seia. It still burns me as their lashes though while those wounds fade into memory, the fact I couldn't even keep my own name was the most insulting bit for me. They took my home, my family, my way of life, I owned nothing and will be nothing. But I couldn't even own my own name. Oh later I learned the whole thing was rigged. A sort of welcome to the family type deal.

Weeks later I was still trying to survive but two slaves kept making things harder than they needed to be for me. First was a man called Tull who was the one who flogged me weeks before. Well his problem with me was because I looked down on him or something like that. The other was a woman named Galeria who wanted to be Master Damien's favorite slave. Well she thought I was trying to take that from her and the two would try anything to get me flogged. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.

A few more slaves jumped in on it when I was repeatedly being called to the master's bedside. A few months later Galeria won the lottery and when Master Damien was to pick who would do the flogging I volunteer. Luckily he allowed it and I was overjoyed to pay her back for every offense. I never felt more alive. I felt power and I loved it. That was the moment I begun to understand how the world truly is. Only the cruel survive and more importantly there were only two kinds of beings in this world. Those with power and those without. Learned that it was much better to be with one with the power. After I left her in a bloody mess Master Damien grabbed me and dragged me to his bed. It appears I made a very positive impact on him.

After next night in hopes of repeating this I volunteered and he allowed it again. Then the next night and the night after that. A week later he didn't even brothering trying to pick a slave to do the flogging as I was the permanent flogger. Throughout the year I perfected my craft and I finally gave them a reason to hate me. I rarely felt the fear of powerlessness again. I felt like my life was becoming my own yet again.

On 20th of Augustus 844 over a year or so later Tull, Galeria, and four others tried to escape but were captured. It was a fun night as all of my enemies were before me. I begun with Tull with Master Damien's blessing. As he was close to breaking he called me a name but now I can't what he called me but I remembered by reaction. I took the bullwhip and wrapped it around his neck turning into a garrote to choke the life out of him. I kept choking him for a bit until I decided to loosen up and allow him to breath. But Master Damien yells, "Cassandra! Finish him!"

I was taken back as I heard him say my name for the first time. Not Seia, but Cassandra. I stared at him and he smiled and nodded. Then he spoke again with a smile on his face, "You heard me Cassandra. Finish him."

I had my name back and I couldn't lose my smile even as I was garroting Tull again. As life left his body I was still smiling and the look of terror on Galeria's face gave me great joy. After Tull was untied I worked on the others and murdered everyone of them. Though after the torture of Galeria was done Master Damien decided to spare her life. I was very disappointed but that disappeared when he made her my personal slave. A slave owning a slave, I still love that irony. After that Master Damien after a rump in the bed told me he loved me. I replied in kind and showed my feelings. To this day he was the only man I ever loved.

Within the year around I think 3rd of Yuni 845 he got bored with torturing slaves for his entertainment and decided that torturing free people was more fun. So the kidnappings begun. It started with poor baggers, thefts, and sometimes runaways. Within a few months he got bolder and started kidnapping high ends of the lower classes and low ends of the middle class. It went well and I learned alot of things. But on 14th of Julius 886 he got greedy and decided to kidnap the daughter of low ranking senator thinking to himself that he was well positioned enough within the Senate to get away with it.

I worked the poor girl hard and she survived pretty well. She was alot of fun and it bought me and Master Damien together like no other experience. But the bitch Galeria escaped and run straight to the girl's father. He gathered his allies in the senate and they called for the Urban Cohort to arrest Master Damien. As our people were looking for Galeria we figured she was trying to reach the countryside and with no knowledge that she came to the senator in question. The guards burst through Maser Damien's home and arrested him and myself and they found the girl, still alive.

They tortured me right away as my master was thrown into his cell. The pain was great but I endured it for a week before the trial. Master Damien was sentenced to death by crucifixion and then I was sentenced the same. The date of execution was set for 4th of Augustus. I lay in my cell waiting for my time to die. Enduring the torture and waiting for the chance to see my love again even if it was in the afterlife or as I hear the Romanos call it Elysium.

The night of the 3rd of Augustus four men sneaked into the prison I was held and I saw them murder my jailer and one of the men entered my cell and told me to put on the guard's uniform. I did this thinking it was a plan hatched by Master Damien. But the truth was revealed that these men were Firedonian and they came here for me. Before I could ask any questions I was taken from the prison and into a wagon that lead out of Romanorum.

I watched as the sun rise on the 4th knowing that the only man I loved was being nailed to a cross and left to die. Still brings tears to my eyes thinking about him. But regardless I had no choice but to carry on and learned within a few hours that the men who saved me were Q-Men. I thought they were myths but they were real. The leader made sure I had everything I needed in the journey back home. That night he told me that he was my father and that it took him years to find me and save me. So that is how I learned who my father was and later learned that he and his three other friends were vampires as well. Alot of questions were asked as the journey that took me cross an empire back to my home in Firedonia. The whole journey was uneventful oddly as they planned their route with surprising ease.

My father's best friend Quinn taught me alot about planning and tactics. While Quillon taught me how to fight and Quentin taught me how to torture, interrogation, and puzzle solving. My father Quincy taught me everything else. How to shoot, how to pick the right spot to thrust the blade into, and more. All the knowledge I later used in my military career after crossing the border into Firedonia. That was a critical point in my life. I lost my mother and my sister but years later gain my father and three men I viewed as my uncles. But that is an entry for another time."
It's only funny until someone gets hurt...then it's hilarious!

Paradise City Chronicle

"We have confirmed reports of a massive battle between Cassandrian and Minervian forces at North Pageland. The Cassaandrian Army numbering over 200,000 assaulted Minervian defenses. The defenses were mostly manned by Theodosians from Vatace and Crussia who too the blunt of the Cassandrian assault. The reports state that these men came from the noble houses of Kotte of Vatace and the Renate of Crussia or known within Crussia as the House of the Purple Rose. The battle lasted three days as the Theodosian held against an unstoppable tide of Firedonian Might under one of the most feared battlefield commanders in the world. In a battle that was the bloodiest battle in Firedonian History to date with tens of thousands killed on both sides.

The Cassandrians planned on finishing the Minervian Rebels once and for all. But they learned of this and send their forces at North Pageland with the Theodosians making up the bulk of their defenses. The three day long blood bath is reported to have had close to 3 million artillery shells fired given the amount of cannon fire from both sides and miles of trenches were made. Once Minervian reinforcements arrive the Cassandrians withdrew to their positions in Patria.

In Jadranovo the Order invaded the city and are fighting in a brutal siege in bitter block by block fighting. As half of the city lays in ruin both sides pour more troops and supplies into the city. Our reporters are unable to go near the city due to the extreme amount of danger in the city. But our sources state that Order forces landed in the city and in a rampage murdered Minervian Prisoners of War before being forced out. A few days later they returned and now have half of the city under their control. Our sources inform us that how of the city has suffered heavy damage and civilian deaths are massive. The sources seem to have collaborated with official government reports on the battle at Jadranovo. Now there are reports from the Order stating otherwise but there is no evidence supporting their series of events stating they arrive in Jadranovo to provide humanitarian aide to the city as they claim half of the city was aflame. They came into the city and claim that they were lead into ambushes by children.

Interesting series from the Order's point of view but there are currently zero sources other than the Order's official newspaper and most governments view it as an propaganda rag so we in the Paradise City Chronicle cannot fully accept their series of events due to their credibility issue.

In other news the Chieftains of the Great Tribes within the Lupus Confederacy has voted in favor of supporting the Firedonian Rebels in the southern half of the country. This brings more good news for the Minervians and their cause against Queen Cassandra and her government. How will this effect the war effort we have little idea but this will increase the scale of the conflict."

"The Battle of North Pageland was a set back for the Royal Army and a statement from War Minister Veturia Luculla states, 'The Rebel Army was given support from Theodosians and was able to hold off against our heroic forces but suffer extreme losses while our army suffered little.' She also states that the status and morale of the army is still going strong and still sees a coming victory that will end the war.

We got a statement from Foreign Minister Elvia De Domenico and she states that the Theodosians playing an active role is a sign that the Rebels are willing sell Firedonian sovereign and independent nation to foreign powers. From the quote she gave us, 'Seeing the rebels blindly selling our country to a foreign power is sicking to any Firedonian's soul and the traitors will be dealt with accordingly.'

First Minister Helena Greenslow has declared that with the Theodosians fighting with the rebels it is clear that they're selling away Firedonia's independence to oppressive foreign powers. They will suffer from this betrayal and states that the Royal Army will defeat the Theodosians and hang the traitors."

However victory here may have stopped their invasions of Minervian controlled lands but not win the war for us. Welcome, readers, to the Tropic Chronicles, and what content we have for you today!


Naturally, we must begin with the Battle of Pageland, quite possibly the single bloodiest battle in Nerian history. The Bloody Queen, Cassandra, launched a massive two-pronged assault , Operation Sezal, against the Minervian defenders, her army consisting of over two hundred and forty thousand soldiers, forty airships, and a great number of their own steam tanks. Fortunately for the Minervians, armies led by the Kottes and the Renates, as well as a cavalry regiment and an airship squadron from the Order, were dug in along with them, and fought the Cassandrian assault for three days. Cassandra threw all she could to break the defenders, including the Q-men and a shocking number of Neco troops from numerous other countries. But at the end of the three days, after thousands of casualties and losses of equipment, the Minervians, the Kottes, and the Renates had not only held firm, but had by the third day launched a counterattack to drive the Cassandrians back. Cassandra's army conceded the field and retreated, signaling the end of the failed Operation. Morale is high in Minervians Firedonia, as the Cassandrian army was led by their queen herself. After those three days, the Minervians have seen that even the famed Bloody Queen can be beaten.


During this time, Cassandra also ordered a large fleet of ships and airships, including transports, to launch what would have been a devastating raid on the Republic's capital city, Javantine city. On their way, the Cassandrian fleet passed by Skoverup Island, another Republic Province, where Republic ships hailed them. In response, the Cassandrians attacked, their main fleet continuing on while a portion of it committed itself to the dastardly attack, sinking many ships and killings many Republic sailors. Fortunately, Order fleets arrived in time to aid the Skoverup fleet, thus beginning a race between the Order and the Cassandrians to reach Javantine first. In the end, the Republic was reached by Order ships first, and by the time Cassandrian ships arrived both factions were well prepared. After another brief chase, the entire Cassandrian fleet was destroyed. Whereas the Republic itself had been neutral in the Firedonian Civil War, the unprovoked attack on Skoverup and the planned slaughtered of Republic civilians ended that neutrality. The Parliament held an emergency session, and after a full briefing and an hour of debate, both Houses voted unanimously to declare war on the Cassandrian Firedonians. For those confused, who think the Order and the Republic are the same, here is a brief explanation. The Order of the Piercing gaze is a private army, a Foreign Legion if you will. While they certainly have military power, they have no political power. They cannot make trade deals, rule territory, etc. The Republic, on the other hand, does. And while the Order will typically work to benefit the Republic, they have little support from the Republic, having to rely on themselves for recruitment, transport, and reinforcing. The exception to this is when the Republic declares war, as is now the case.


And speaking of the Order, during Operation Sezal, Aera and Order forces staged a bold assault on Jadranova, where weeks ago the Cassandrians used Prisoners of War to lure Order troops into a false sense of performing humanitarian aid. While of course Cassandrian propaganda would say the Order went on a rampage in the city, the truth, verified from surviving Minervians prisoners rescued in time, was that the Cassandrians, on orders from the Q-men, not only massacred other prisoners to set their trap, but exploited the loyalty of their civilians by making children lure Order soldiers and medics into ambushes. The Order was able to successfully escape the trap, and have returned to settle the score, while also taking the Cassandrian naval HQ, an important industrial center, and a very historically important location to Firedonians, a city that was Cassandra's first big victory in the Firedonia-Flagellos war. Despite the defenses of the city and the efforts of the Cassandrian's stationed there, Order troops have steadily advanced, as of now holding half the city, as well as cutting the defenders in half. While the momentum will likely slow in the coming weeks, it is clear the Order is determined to finish what the Cassandrian's started.


As well, in both Pageland and Jadranovo, reports have come in of massive "metal men", steel giants carrying sized weaponry and heavy guns. The reports have neither been confirmed nor denied, and our reporters are working hard to get to the bottom of things.

With her in Firedonian custody one of the League's biggest trouble makers is finally out of hair. This is a great moment for the League."

After a period of standoff between the two forces and a repelled rebel attempt at constructing pontoon bridges.

Firedonian scouts had discovered that the rebels had sent two[2] Divisions, or roughly sixty thousand soldiers [60,000~] to cross far downstream in order to attempt a surprise attack from the left flank.

The Expeditionskorps der Armee Crussia at full strength numbers 12,000 soldiers.

Knowing that if the rebels were to strike the defences with such strength from an unexpected direction it would be disasterous,
Count Patrick Renate of the Kingdom of Crussia volunteered the The Expeditionskorps der Armee Crussia to stop this new force.
The Firedonians agreed and informed him of the small firedonian holding force in desperate need of reinforcements.

A special Cavalry Regiment of the Order was accompying the Expeditionskorps, the commander volunteered to scout far ahead and bring back any surviving Firedonians they could find.

As the Expeditionskorps marched closer it was reported they could hear both artillery and gunfire, increasing in haste they came upon a farm, Gillcrest Farm.
The noise from the battle ahead was reportedly very loud thus the Count elected to erect a defensive position here at the farm.

Two trench lines, 2 Razor Wire lines and 60,000 mines were dug, erected and layed respectivly before the Order Compliment returned with the surviving Firedonian army personnell, they were safely recovered and sent back to rest and recuperate, 200 members of the Order of the Piercing Gaze stayed behind and fight so that over 6,000 people may live, they are missing presumed dead or captured.

Then the battle of Gillcrest Farm began.

In the first day eye witness accounts report the rebels wore suits or armour akin to a knight and weilded Spiritual Energy Enhanced weaponry but as they closed to the first razorwire line they were still struck down by a combination of Mines, Rifle fire and Crussian Artillery. They advanced at a jog in rough company formations aiming to overpower the center of the Expeditionskorps formation.

It is fortunate that they neglected to bring step ladders or wire cutters as they were sighted climbing over the bodies of their comrades to get into the minefield between the first and second razorwire line. A survivor of the battle commented to the embedded Herald Reporter "Its not so much that they fell back and retreated and more that they stopped sending people in."

As night fell the 5th Cavalry of the Purple Rose Regiment once again stepped up and committed a night time scouting mission and managed to located many Rebel camps, they also detected the arrival of twenty thousand[20,000] traitor firedonian special forces arriving to reinforce the two divisions. However with the information gained by the 5th Cavalry, the Expeditionskorps was able to direct rifle and artillery fire into the rebel camps over the course of the night and well into the morning.

Shortly before this days enemy attack a force of Levitators [Armoured vehicles powered by Spiritual Energy enabling them to float armed with artillery cannons, immune to rifle fire and small calibre artillery] of the Kotte's and an Air Ship Squadron of the Order's arrived to assist.

It was late in the morning when the Rebels once again took to the field, this time with the support of an Air Fleet of over fifty[50] airships and an impressive twenty 20 Steam Machines .
[An Armoured Vehicle much like a train but with four or more wheels reminicant of a bicycles armed with artillery cannons, immune to rifle fire and small calibre artillery]

Their advance was much more dispersed and they had indeed brought step ladders this time, it took them some hours to again reach the first razor wire line and a further hour to reach the second razor wire line at which point the Expeditionskorp's minefield had been cleared the hard way. Unable to erect step ladders the remains of the rebel force were unable to climb over the razor wire until the steam machines arrived and ran over the razorwire for them.

It was Rifle Infantry of the 4th & 5th Regiments of Foot of the Purple Rose who repelled both, the rebels were rebuffed by bullet and bayonet whilst the Steam Machines had their crew hatches pried open with shovels and grenades dropped inside, slaughtering the crews and rendering the machines inoperable.

As night fell the Expeditionskorps again sent out scouts and pickets although not in as great a numbers as they had to move the enemy corpses and repair the razorwire.
Again rifle and artillery fire was directed at the rebel camps until morning.
A runner was recieved during the night from the Firedonian Reinforcement Army commanded by General Masa Sakamoto.
The army was moving to encircle the divisions engaged with the Expeditionskorps.

as the frost withdrew from the now cratered hellscape infront of them in the rebels again marched on the defences.

This time however the hail of gunfire and death proved to great for them to bare as they did not make it far before the sight of our glorious crussian soldiers coming out of their defences with bayonets mounted forced them to about face and retreat. The Expeditionskorps der Armee Crussia pursued with all its might, killing many rebel troops until they came to a bluff[or small hill] that a regiment of rebel light infantry had positioned themselves on to hold the Expeditionskorps advance.
The Crussian Master Magicians and Geist Macht deserve credit in erecting ice barriers for fellow soldiers as cover from bullet and shrapnel in the pursuit and charge up the hill.

For atop the hill were clear firing lines on the remains of two rebel divisions in close combat with elements of the Firedonian Reinforcement Army.

As night fell on the third day the Battle of Gillcrest Farm could only be called a victory.

Twenty two thousand one hundred and fourty two [22,142] Rebel Soldiers have been buried near Gillcrest Farm.
Two thousand nine hundred and fourty four [2,944] Rebel Soldiers were confirmed to be Wounded by the The Expeditionskorps der Armee Crussia
Two thousand three hundred and eighty five [2,385] Rebel Soldiers were captured by nighfall of the third day by either the Firedonian Reinforcement Army or The Expeditionskorps der Armee Crussia

This writer for the Herald of the Purple Rose would like the reader to remember that the price for victory for Crussia,
in this instance was Two thousand and thirty nine Crussians Killed in Action and One thousand four hundred Wounded in Action.

They will be mourned, they will be honoured.

Can Frau Cassandra say the same of the Twenty two thousand one hundred and fourty two Soldiers whom died deluded to her demented cause?

Isolation. That's what Aera felt as she strode through the blasted streets of Xenia district in her new power armor. She was sealed almost thoroughly inside, her body buried under layers of armor and machinery and limestone-laced meshing, her normal vision looking out through scratch-resistant lenses and her breathing, what little of it she did, drawing through filtered air from the outside. The armor itself wasn't uncomfortable of course, far from it, as it had been built specifically to accommodate her her frame...but being so cut off from the physical world? That definitely was an odd feeling, though perhaps not necessarily bad. It was like her own little world inside the armor, a world where Aera could focus and think with less distractions...and looking damn fine while doing it too. Being so concealed meant that one would find it harder to read her expressions and body language, two things vital to both diplomacy and combat.

The latter of which was calling to her.

Gathering herself, Aera breathed deeply, drawing upon her connection to the spirits and the ancient world. It was like the soothing embrace a mother would give a child, the equine surrendering her being to the embrace of power that flowed through her. Her senses heightened, and as she watched the world shifted, becoming less material and more...spiritual, almost. At her already immense level of connection with the ancient world, one that grew stronger and stronger the more Aera advanced as a Paladin of her people, she could feel and see the presence of life around her, from the tufts of grass and weeds under her hooves to what rodents were left hiding in the rubble...and more importantly, to the six Cassandrian soldiers hiding in the building in front of her. Thanks to the limestone layered inside her meshing, her powers were magnified all the more, allowing her to see farther and through more, and at times she could almost swear she could even see, seconds before they moved, where a creature was going to be. Aside from its use in battle, Aera couldn't help but find it beautiful in its own way. Not that she wanted to rush to see it all the time of course...though being a Golem did seem interesting...

The equine shook her head and advanced upon her hiding foes, holding out her halberd and activating it, feeling it crackle, then hum pleasantly in her hands as the weapon began to emanate a red glow. She had the feel of them now, a smile on her face as she took aim at the closest wall, behind which one of the soldiers was waiting. Or, rather, one of the Witch Hunter Q-men. With a pull of a concealed trigger, specifically made for her own grip and strength, a blast of Bolton energy slammed into the wall, blasting right through it...and, consequently, turning the man who'd been behind it into a sundered corpse, dead before he hit the floor. Dust and debris obscured the new hole she'd made like a thick fog, but unlike the men inside, who to their credit reacted fast enough to begin firing their Gawain Energy Carbines in her general direction, Aera could see them all clear as day. The blasts of energy crackled around her, occasionally getting in a hit on her...but the Equine barely noticed, the attacks only leaving small scorches on her armor as she strode into the building. A swipe of her halberd helped clear out the smoke of rubble, adding into it a brief mist of red blood as one of the Q-men fell in half, faster than a human could react to such a thing. Allowing the motion to carry her, she raised her other arm as another man thought to take advantage, a quick shotgun blast to the face effectively decapitating him just as he'd started to raise his gun.

Three down, three to go, and now they could see what was attacking them. At once Aera was assaulted by the three Witch hunters, using Fear, Fire, and Ice all at once. Her suit's internals helped deal with the effects of the latter two, as her armor itself was scorched and chilled but not to the point of breaking, and the Fear spell didn't even get a blink from the Equine. In response she "grabbed" one of the men, the Fire man with telekinesis, slamming him into the Ice man with enough force to smash them both into the wall. With the way they limply flopped to the floor, it didn't take a professional to tell that they were dead. With that same spell she formed a first on the last Q-man, lifting him up into the air, focusing her energies to begin choking the life out of him as she stepped up, expressionless even behind her helmet as she stared into his bulging eyes, the man struggling to keep a defiant expression even as he began to suffocate.

"You fought bravely, but in vain", she said to him, her voice amplified by her suit, "Submit to me, and I will spare your life." In response, the man managed to weakly spit at her helmet, his clawing struggles intensifying as he fought against the telekinetic grip. Aera sighed, then allowed him to drop to the floor, halberd raised.

"Then for your crimes against the Cassandrian citizenry, against the PoWs of the Minervian soldiers, against the Order and the Republic it serves, and for only the spirits know what else, I sentence you to death."

There was a slice, then a thud, and Aera shook the blood from her weapon as she exited the abode. She could hear the sounds of cannons and rockets, and the sound of Bolton and rifle fire as her troops began the final assault on the Xenia district. Aera didn't waste any time to hustle; where for the Cassandrians this was a battle, for her and the Order, it was a long series of overdue executions.

On board the Rivership Honoria traveling the Aretha River arriving into the docks of Freyja, within the Charlotte District of the capital. The ship docked and several people board the ship as the captain of the ship walks towards the people who board her ship.

The captain asks one of the army officers that boarded the ship, "Are you here for the package?"
Major Kristyna Pokorny of the Queen's Musketeer Regiment asks, "Is it in good condition?"
"Yes Major." Then signals the crew as they bring out a crate and place it in front of the Major.
"Open it, I want to make sure." The Major replies as the crew opens the crate and once the lid was removed she looked into the crate and sees a woman with black hair and black clothing wearing a null collar and cuffs. Once she identify the woman she turns to a few figures still on the dock and gives a nod.

The figures then begin to board the ship with one woman wearing a black uniform with red facings and gold trims walks over to the captain as three hooded figures with their hands tied behind their back was escorted onto the ship. The captain didn't realize who the woman was until she said, "May I borrow your ship?" She then asks in a questioning manner, "Captain?"
The Captain realized that moment she was standing before Queen Cassandra herself replies with an ounce of fear in her voice, "Captain Pateria Psella Your Majesty."
She was trying to regain herself as she continues, "It would be an honor Your Majesty."
"Excellent!" Cassandra replied with a large smile as she clapped her hands together before turning to the crate. She slowly walks over to the crate and looks in it to see Libitina and her smile wouldn't leave her face. "I'm getting my Freyja Day present early this year." She then looked at one of the crew and asks, "The crowbar if you be so kind?"

As the sailor hands her the crowbar and she begins to open more of the crate up to make it easier for Libitina to exit the crate. Once the crate was taken apart Major Pokorny tells Captain Psella to set sail for just outside of the docks and then anchor the ship there. The captain complies as the riverboat leaves the docks and anchored the ship just 50 yards out of the docks.

Cassandra picked Libitina up to her feet while six men wearing black dragged the three figures to the edge of the ship and opened a section of the railing. They then tied ropes to the feet of the figures that was connected to heavy stones. She said to Libitina, "It's been too long Liby. You have no idea how much I missed you."
Cassandra hugs her tight and continues, "We're going to be whole again. Maybe even start a family? Have little children running in the garden?"

Libitina remains silent as Cassandra continues her hug. But after a few minutes without speaking Cassandra backs off and states, "I see you'll still alittle mad at me. You're going to forgive me sooner or later so let's get past this phase shall we? I have a room custom made just for you. Between the walls null devices that stops you from choking me or whatever you can think of with your mind. An Empress size bed with silk sheets. A cast iron bathtube large enough for two people. Furniture made out of the best purplewood. You'll finally be happy."
"Or maybe I'll throw myself out of the window like Evelyn Goodstone and Anneliese Hart?" Libitina answers while staring into Cassandra's eyes. Cassandra was overcome with anger as she had the nerve to mention two of her lost loves. Like a viper Cassandra slaps Libitina with a fast and brutal strike knocking her down to her knees. As anger overtook Cassandra she grabs Libitina hard and lifts her back to her feet.
With pure anger in her voice states, "Don't you ever bring up Evelyn and Anneliese again! Got that! You know better than to mention them to me! Anneliese was a stupid girl that couldn't take my love. And..."

Another viper like strike but this time a fist to Libitina's stomach. She lost her breath for a moment before Cassandra forced her to look her in the eyes, "And Evelyn killed herself because the Flagellos shot an arrow into her home with a message telling her I was dead. She wanted to be with me and...." She was now doing everything she could to hold back her tears, "And wanted to be with me in the afterlife. I was going to join her. I was ready but the Priestess told me that since she committed suicide she would go into a special hell where I cannot follow. I would be forbidden to see her as punishment for the sin of suicide!"
"Shame." Libitina replies regaining her breath and trying to keep herself strong, "Shame the Priestess didn't let you go down to hell with her."
"Now..." Cassandra trying to control herself laughs, "Now you're being rude."

She then walks away and sees the prisoners were ready and then turns back to Libitina and said with a smile, "Well I got to get back to work. Be right back."
She walks over to the prisoners and given the spacing between the prisoners she decided to sit down between two of them sitting on the edge of the ship itself. With her feet hanging less than an inch from the water with her arms over the shoulders of both prisoners. The two prisoners hoods were removed revealing both were women, one was young with brown hair and other middle aged blonde.
"Ladies." Cassandra spoke with a joyful but menacing tone, "Your two have been very naughty. Spying for the rebels. Noble. Stupid. But noble."
The younger woman couldn't hard it in anymore and burst into tears. Cassandra notices this and moves closer to her in an affectionate but keeping her menacing tone, "Shhh, it's ok you just played a dangerous game and lost. There is no shame in it." Then looks into the water and continues, "Oh it's the watery grave that scares you? I know it's scary but would you rather be dragged through the streets and have the whole city witness your execution? Of course not, there's no reason to do that to you. Ok that is a bit of a lie the business owners in the main square filled a joint complaint about the number of executions. Turns out while public executions while good for businesses in the square. Having too many of them in a short period of time begins to hurt them. The storefront owners do well and the food vendors but the others, not so much."
She looks at the woman and sees more tears coming out, "Well I guess it's the fact you're going to drown in a few moments isn't it?"

The younger woman answers while trying to regain herself, "What's going to happen to my daughter?"
"That depends on you." Cassandra replied, "You see since you refused to name some names you'll be executed by drowning. This is your last chance. Not to save yourself but your daughter. How old is she?"
The woman failed to keep it together while she answered, "Four your Majesty."
"There is no need for that now." Cassandra replied in a motherly tone, "You can call me anything you like and not be bound by proper etiquette. But to the issue at hand. It's too late to save your life but you can save your daughter's life. If you don't give me the names of your confederates. Well..." Cassandra places the tip of her right boot into the water and soft moves it in a clock wise motion. "Than she'll join you down there tomorrow evening. But if you give me some names than I promise you that I will not only spare her life but give her a new home in a good family that will love her, care for her, and will most likely never go hungry again. She will have a future which let's be honest is more than you could have given her. You know I never learned her name."
"Sabine." The woman answers.
"Don't you want poor little Sabine to have a chance in life?"

Then she looks at the blonde and gets closer to her and asks her in the same motherly but now more menacing tone, "I saw you have two daughters yourself. What are their names and ages?"
The blonde answers while stopping her tears from flowing, "Marjorie is seven and Alviva is three."
"Don't you want them to have a better life? Or do you desire to have them join you tomorrow evening?" Cassandra replied, "Same offer, all you have to do is give me names."
Both women remained silent so Cassandra got up from the railing and yelled in a joyful manner, "Alrighty then, boys get the marker barrels!"

Two men walked over to the two prisoners and tied ropes around their waists which was attached to two barrels designed to float on the water marking something under the waterline. Once the ropes were tied Cassandra states, "These marker barrels will mark your positions so we can make sure the last thing your daughters will see as they drown is your floating corpses."

Out of fear for her daughter's life the younger woman screams, "Frances Nysell, Tovilda Galey..."
Cassandra got closer to her and stopped her, "Now was that so hard." She then looked to Minister of State Security Apollina Cuva who was with her. The Minister turns to one of her aides and the aide begins to write down the names. Cassandra then spoke to the woman, "Continue please. The more names you give me I'll give Sabine 50 Firians. Same can go for Marjorie and Alviva if your blonde friend decides to give me some names as well."

The younger woman continues, "Milda Stoke, Isabel Welbek, Susannah Dynham, and Sarah Brome."
Then woman then broke down so Cassandra moved onto the blonde and asks, "So? How many? Or does Marjorie and Alviva go for a dive tomorrow evening?"
As Cassandra's bodyguards cut the rope from the younger woman to detach her from the barrel, the blonde breaks and begins naming people, "Agnes Polsted, Hilda Shiveley, Laura Malster, Clarissa Bredham, Genevieve Wilkins, and Regina Shevington."
"Now that wasn't so hard." Cassandra replies as the bodyguards cut the ropes from the blonde to the marker barrel. She then walks over to the third prisoner she asks the others, "Laura Malster? Was she your contact in the palace right?"
Both were silent for a bit before the blonde simply nod in agreement. Cassandra smiled and took the hood of the third prisoner off revealing a younger blonde woman with tears running down her face. The brown hair woman looked at the woman and realized it wasn't her contact in the palace. Cassandra notices this and smiles, "Oh this girl isn't Malster just some dumb blonde maid that doesn't know how to follow orders! The real Malster died a few days ago not before she gave me your names. She died screaming."

Libitina could only stand there as she was about to witness another pointless execution in her mind. Cassandra with anger in her voice asks the maid, "You were told very clearly. In basic Nerian to take all of the barrels of Colleitan Wine and dump them into the sewer. But last night I walked into the wine cellar. You know I thought that maybe this time I could be the People's Queen. A Queen that doesn't need servants for every little want. So I open up a barrel that was supposed to be Romano Wine but instead got Colleitan Wine. Why is that?"
"I'm sorry your Majesty. It must have been overlooked or mistaken for another kind of wine." The maid answers with pure fear and terror in her voice, "I promise to never allow such a mistake again. Please I beg your forgiveness."

Cassandra walked over to one of her bodyguards and orders him to untie her. As he was untying the maid Cassandra said aloud with her back turned to the maid, "You promise to never make such a mistake again?"
The maid in a scared but relieved tone answers, "Yes your Majesty! I will never make that mistake again!"
"Oh I know you won't." Cassandra replies as she reaches inside her coat and pulls out a gold plated Mzia Army Model 902 Revolver. Libitina sees her pull the hammer back and closes her eyes as she didn't want to witness the poor maid's death. Once her eyes were shut Cassandra turns and points the gold plated revolver at the maid and pulls the trigger. The .44 Caliber shot hit the maid in the face just above the right eye. Tearing through the brain and crashing into the back of her skull. The impact knocked her now lifeless body into the river. Cassandra calmly walks over to the railing looking into the floating body. She points her revolver at the body and fires five more shots into it as it sinks to the bottom of the river.

As Libitina opens her eyes again she sees Cassnadra holstering her revolver and took a few deep breaths and could hear her talking to herself, "Ok ease it up Cassy. Act a Queen. No Be THE Queen."
Once she mentally regrouped she hides her emotions with a twisted smile as she walks over to the blonde prisoner and places her foot on the heavy stone. She said to the woman, "Well time for it all to end. Shame you'll never get to see Marjorie and Alviva become productive members of the New Firedonia."
With her right foot pushes the stone off of the boat and the rope attached to the prisoner drags her down with the stone into the bottom of the river. The younger woman was overcome by terror again as Cassandra walks over to the stone that will drag her down into the dark water. Cassandra puts her right foot onto the stone and she states, "Don't worry about Sabine. She will be much happier with you throwing her down the wrong path in life. Just like all of the daughters that will soon be free from their treasonous mothers. Thanks to you two."
She pushes the stone with a single motion from her foot and sends the stone into the river with a screaming prisoner following it into the dark water.

"Well that's done." Cassandra spoke gleefully, "Now time to get home and reunite with my true love."
"Stay away from me you crazy bitch!" Libitina screams in an outburst.
Cassandra stares at her with a disappointed look on her face, "Now that is rude and not very lady like."
She walks closer to Libitina to get as close to her face as possible. She continues in an relaxed and happy tone, "I forgive you Libitina for everything you did. The many people you had me kill. Leaving me when I got tired of the killing. Betraying me to Artemis because I lost control of myself. I forgive you completely. Now the old me is back and I'm ready to do what you want. Kill who you want. Destroy anything that offends you. I'm yours again. Your MINE again."
"Start with killing yourself." Libitina replies, "Not before you order my release of course."
"Of course." Cassandra laughs, "But I can see this will be harder than I thought. Oh well atleast I can say I tired right?"

Cassandra signals two of her bodyguards to drag Libitina to the stone that was meant for the maid. She fights them every step of the way but she was too weak to stop them from tying the ropes around her ankles. With the Null collars and cuffs she could used her Spiritual Energy to save herself. Once the men were done Cassandra walks over to the stone and place her right foot on it. She looked at Libitina and said, "Last chance Liby. What is it going to be?"
"You wouldn't." Libitina replied, "With me dead you would be lost and hopeless. Do you want to add me to the long list of the people that you loved you have murdered?"

Cassandra joy turned to anger as she pushes the stone and drags Libitina into the dark water. The last thing Cassandra heard was, "YOU PSYCHO BITCH!"
It didn't take long for Libitina to reach the bottom of the river and turns out it wasn't that deep only 12 maybe 16 foot. Libitina was able to adjust her eyes and barely see. She saw the two prisoners before her. The blonde was already gone with the younger woman stop moving as she just became lifeless. She looked around and saw dozens of bodies floating down there. All tied to heavy stones like she is right now. She is fighting hard to try and escape her watery grave but in the end her strength was beginning to leave her after a few minutes which felt like an hour. Her vision was fading and her lungs were burning. As she was about to pass out she felt s pair of hands grab her shoulder and another her legs. She felt herself go free and she was being carried upwards. Her head got over the waterline and started breathing again.

She felt strong hands grab her and drag her onto the ship. Once the bodyguards got Libtiina onto the ship they aided the two bodyguards that jumped into the river to save Libitina's life. Cassandra walked over to her and comforted her and wrapped her in a blanket and held her close. As Libitina was trying to regain her breath Cassandra said to her, "Now you know how I have been feeling ever since you left me all those years ago."
Libitina couldn't reply as she was too tired to do anything now. Cassandra continues softly, "That feeling of dread and loneness is what I was feeling for over ten years. Fortunately we're back together and we're going to make a family. Now let's go home you look hungry and deserve a real bath."
Libitina could only stare at her trying her best to hide her fear of her. Cassandra smiles and continues, "A nice warm bubble bath. I know how much you love those. Oh I forgot about your bed. It has 12 pillows on it. I know very fancy."
Cassandra then yells to the captain, "Take us back to the docks we're done here." Then she leans into Libitina's ear said to her in a soft and loving manner, "Welcome home sweetie."



Intel

The Minervians report that a Cassandrian Army under General Mariah Steen has arrived in Shanxia, Fanshu on the Cassandrian-Minervian Border with 80,000 troops with 50,000 reinforcements for the 3rd Army. Along with two Model 25 Theodananda Armored Trains, and a Model 33 Arika Armored Combat Train with 20 Model 27 Godith Steam Carriages. Minerivan Spy Networks are reporting that a fleet has begun to set sail from Zhaga to support the operation. Expect a possible use of their air fleet as well.

Minervians are setting up defense lines at the Villages of Pustoaia and Ruseni to stop them from reaching Nima, the Capital of Kina Province. Once they take this center they will be able to break the Siege of Jadranovo and reinforce the city. If Nima falls than the only thing stopping them is Fort Scarlett. Sadly we must report that the railways in this province are fully operational and if the Cassandrians take Nima they will have control of the railways in this region. One of their Model 25 Theodananda Armored Trains has been modified to use the same tracks as ours. So once the station in Nima is captured they will send it ahead while their work crews fit the gauge to their standards for the other two trains.
