"We have learned of reports of a meteor that has crashed on an deserted island in Boreas between the Commonwealth of Solva and Empire of Zoka. Trade ships spotted the meteor from miles away and felt wind gusts coming from the island. A few days later ships begun to land on the island and begun their search for the meteor. A company has set up shop on this island that has been operating in Boreas for months now called the Nerienem amet Lorem Septentrionalis, translated means North Nerio Trading Company. It was formed a year ago once Boreas has been discovered and they have been operating in the region ever since. They have a small fleet and their own private army to protect Nerian interests in Boreas. The Company spokesmen told the Chronicle that the meteor was find intact and they have begun to study and test the object.

Chairman of the Board Adriel Anslow of the Commonwealth of Solva has stated that he wants controlling interests over the island but in an bold move the North Nerio Trading Company has requested aide and protection of Emperor Sharptooth the 3rd of the Empire of Zoka. This is an odd move since the North Nerio Trading Company always sided with the more business friendly Commonwealth but it seems the chairmen of the North Nerio Trading Company doesn't want to give up it's control of the island. This comes after a new business investor has gain a near majority interests over the company. The Investor has done a good job in hiding their identity so far.

With North Nerio Trading Company having full control of the island they promise to reveal the scientific aspects of the meteor to the public as soon as they're able."



The Tropic Chronicles

Welcome to another edition of the Tropic Chronicles!

Earlier this week, the long-anticipated voyage of the airship Charon has finally come to an end! For those unaware, the Charon under the captain Elizabeth Franco had bet that she could travel the world in a mere eighty days. That's right, the entire world! With Guild approve she set off on her voyage, and today she has reached her finish line right on time! With her Elizabeth brings recordings of her travels and her observations, much to the delight of her colleagues. This marks the longest voyage ever set by airship, as well as the fastest, and of course around the whole world!


Several days ago, a sting operation aided by Guild members busted up a plot by Cassandrian operatives to spread dissent in the Capital via the use of bombing harbors and factories. All foreign operatives, 100 in number, were arrested with no casualties, and all assets were seized. From what information has been provided, these men, a unique brand of Q-men, had been Republic citizens for some time, reaping the benefits of pretending to be law-abiding civilians while trying to work their way up to positions of power or positions from where they could strike once their cells were activated. All 100 have been executed via hanging, and Republic feelings on the ongoing war have only strengthened as a result. All new arrivals to Republic territory appearing of Nerian descent, particularly Firedonian, are now being subject to intensified screening, and current citizens known to be from that area have reported to being under extra scrutiny.


From the holdings in the Federation, occupied territories have seen a surge in their wconomies and standard living levels. Vampiric citizens in the area report to be healthier and better fed than before, yet still wary due to the ongoing war and a belief that the Federation could come back. Order and Republic officials have nevertheless worked hard to improve the lives of these new civilians in the Republic. A similar situation is occurring in the city of Jadranovo, currently undergoing massive reconstruction due to the intensity of the brutal fight that waged there only a month or so ago. While it, has been hard work, Republic workers haven't flinched from their duties. Humanitarian aid is still being provided in large amounts to help affected civilians recover from losing their property and belongings, and all citizens are being educated on the new laws they must follow and the rights they have as per the Republic Constitution. Many believe that it will not be long before the city will be back to its former glory, or even better.
It's only funny until someone gets hurt...then it's hilarious!

It wasn't often that Aera resorted to cursing in the tongue of her birth, but so furious was she that it felt quite fulfilling to voice her displeasure in such a manner. Bleeding from multiple wounds, a poison coursing through her veins, she could only watch as Quinn and Quincy, along with the other two Q-crew, teleporting to escape once again. She took deep breaths as she leaned on her physical halberd, glaring through her visor at the Cassandrian men and women who quickly arrived to her position, eager to take advantage of her apparent weakness.

Bah. It'll take more than you lot to even hope to bring me down!

As if her thoughts were answered, warcries broke out from behind the Equine as her own troops broke through, rushing around their commander to clash with the Cassandrians, allowing her to focus on her own issues. She was more than happy to oblige her soldiers and stepped back several paces, her eyes closed and her breathing slowing even further.

Poison. Not a mundane one either, as she would've easily noticed it on Quinn's blade, but one conjured by dark SE. There was no doubt in her mind that it had been a lethal dose, and it certainly had worked to an extent. Her muscles ached and her normally sharp vision was blurred; even in spirit sight she could not see clearly. But the dosage, Aera felt, had also been one intended for a human victim, and a human she was not. On top of that, Aera had much more mass and such for any toxin to work through, and that was even before getting into the benefits provided by the Paladin's Contract! Maybe she could use that in the future, now that at least one of the Q-crew having the Poison spell had been personally confirmed. But for now...

Aera let out a deep sigh and turned her thoughts inward, calming herself and allowing the spirits to give her strength, to let their energy flow into her body. The ache in her muscles soon began to cease, her vision began to clear up, and her breathing was rapidly much less shaky than before. Her strength was quickly returning to her, and with it she could feel her body getting right to work on filtering out the foul toxin that defiled her blessed blood. It would take time, of course, for the poison to be completely purged, but for now she'd solved the immediate issues it had caused, and opened her eyes...in time to spot a Cassandrian break through the fighting beyond, the Equine herself his target as he charged forth with his bayonet ready, intent on skewering her.

With barely a thought, she responded to this silly attempt at her death by crushing his heart with a quick TK spell. The man fell dead at her hooves.

The immediate distraction dealt with, Aera stood tall, her posture radiating inspiration to her troops who began to fight all the harder for their leader, something that brought a brief smile to her face. It vanished as she looked to the horizon, watching the Cassandrian troops flee in as orderly a manner as they could, beset by Speeders and dragons and artillery. Plenty would die, but plenty would also get away...and among them would be the Q-crew, licking their wounds and likely hoping their poison had at least put her out of commission for the push to Falhy.

Those boys would be in for a surprise.

You can run all you want, but you'll only die tired. You'll try and hide, but it won't save you. I won't tire, and I will find you.

Update on the Romano Civil War

General Auro De Grazia's Legions were wiped out by Cesare Gorgia thanks to Loxius and his new wonder weapons arriving into Romanorum. Even the Legions under the Empress' command has been routed. Cesare Gorgia legions are almost the sole power within Romanorum at this time and he has ordered a massive conscription.

The Tropic Chronicles

Victory at Saeburg and Goldcorn

On Deutzia 12th 901, the Minervian army launched a massive offensice against Cassandrian lines on their path to Falhy, with their primary attacks at two points, Saeburg and Goldcorn, after a massive 24-hour bombardment. At Saeburg the Minervians were supported by the Werewolf Tribes, the Kottes, and the Renates, while at Goldcorn the assault was spearheaded by the Order and the Republic. The assault went well at first, with forces at both lines easily overcoming a scattering of Cassandrian regulars and conscripted prisoners at the first trench of four. However, as the advance continued, it was quickly discovered that the first trench was trapped; under orders from Cassandria, her troops had dug under and planted several tons of gunpowder and explosives under the first trench with the intent of detonating it under Allied troops. In a stroke of luck, on both fronts the Allied troops advanced quickly across the no man's land; while suffering heavily from the eventual detonation of the trap, they were considerably light overall; estimates suggest that over forty percent of Allied troops could have been lost in that instant at both Saeburg and Goldcorn. After recovering, the Allies launched all-out assaults against the remaining Cassandrian trenches while airfleets from both sides battled for control of the skies and artillery worked to out-shoot their opponents. At Saeburg, the Renate Family, calling themselves the "A-team", spearheaded efforts to push forward, while at Goldcorn Aera herself led Allied troops into brutal trench combat. During the fight, Aera encountered and fought the infamous Q-crew: Quincy, Quin, Qullion, and Quentin. Despite being outnumbered, poisoned,
and wounded several times, Aera held her own against the four and got in many heavy blows of her own before the Q-crew fled the battle. The Cassandrians through everything they had into the battle, including large numbers of their elite Heavy Troopers and Q-men, Neco allies, 6 of their heavy gun trains, and a cavalry assault at Saeburg; at the end of the day however, the Cassandrians were forced to withdraw from the field, with all six artillery trains derailed or destroyed, their airfleets driven back, and and with about forty thousand, six hundred and fifty confirmed dead and ten thousand, nine hundred and ninety captured by Allied forces along with three thousand, two hundred and ninety-three guns. Confirmed allied losses thus far are thirty three thousand, three hundred and thirty-seven dead on the Minervian side, twelve-thousand, one hundred and sixty dead for the Republic, and roughly twenty thousand for the Werewolf troops.
