Basis for roleplay

Can someone help me out? I have a great idea for a roleplay but I have no idea how to conduct it...

PM Alpha, swifter or someone who runs a coherant rp with your basic rping ideas.
In general you need a background (some info on the world you're using, is it fantasy, sci-fi, gothic horror?), a setting (the specific area of this world you have being rp'ed in) and a vague description of the characters you're looking for (do you want enginners, warrior, general characters. Different races, etc etc.)
Anything else is just added bonus's
