20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

Postby TheEngine » Mon Nov 14, 2011 2:00 am

Has anyone seen the 1954 Disney adaptation? It's pretty good in my opinion. Captain Nemo, while not as straight up bad-ass as he is in LOEG, is much more faithfully lifted from the pages of the original novel. I think if I had to pick a scenario to live in, it would be as captain of the Nautilus during the late 19th century. Thoughts on the movie or otherwise?

I loved the movie but never read the novel. Could never find it in the library, school or public, though I would like to very much.
