So, Noctis is in Tekken now.

Anyway, Tifa is up against all characters that appeared in the first three Mortal Kombat games as well as Mortal Kombat Trilogy.
No materia, but she does have the motor drive fist.

Yeah, I heard no end about that and how SE is "selling out" over the past few days. Coincidentally, it's 2 years exactly since they announced Cloud in Smash Bros.
Tekken makes sense given that Soul Calibur would've been the best choice and they've basically done nothing in 5 years and may never do anything again given how hard the fanbase raged over SC5.
Spoiler
That said, apparently a Reddit-user 'leaked' that SC6 is being revealed at PSX along with DMC5- which I'm far too jaded to buy as true offhand but would welcome being wrong on both accounts.

Blazblue is busy with a crossover game as-is (includes Blazblue, RWBY, Persona, and some other franchise).
Noctis would look weird as hell in Guilty Gear's art style.
^Them's the big weapon-based fighters and two of them are AFAIK not mainstream anyways.

Out of the martial art fighters- Tekken does seem like the best choice for Noctis.

Figured but couldn't hurt to ask. Given how Tifa can't use most of her limit breaks as feats due to game mechanics (although a Piler once insisted so long as developers were okay with an animation, it should count) probably her only feats are her Loz fight, her brief bit with the shadow-dogs, and tossing Cloud skywards.

Should be noted Loz is fairly difficult to move if he doesn't want to- Rude and Reno's attempts at fighting him and Yazoo later on in the movie indicate the Sephiroth kids are physically superior to Reno and Rude- both of whom are superhuman in their own right seeing as they take being punted dozens of feet away in more-or-less no problem.
Also he was punching hard enough to obliterate stone around where he struck, implying someone trading blows with him should be capable of the same.

Kuai Liang

Instantly freezes Kintaro, Goro, and Kano. Only Kintaro and Goro get free from being frozen. Even after the fight with Goro and Kintaro, Kano is still frozen. He also makes metal chains brittle just by freezing them.

Sub-Zero in combat. Here, you see Sub-Zero in H2H combat. He's really good at feinting and dominates Kung Jin in H2H combat. We also see Sub-Zero's use of close range teleportation, and use of an ice duplicate on Takeda (mid-combat too).

Instantly freezes Ferra and Torr(Big Fella), and then freezes some mooks

Freezes an airlock until it's brittle. He breaks it. He also dodges missile.

Yeah, given that Tifa's latest incarnation is Advent Children, she doesn't scale to anyone, and basically game moves aren't usable- there's not a good reason for her to win this I don't think.

On the other hand, Tifa does have durability feats that would allow her to survive any blows that would normally leave a hole in a human being.
Just surviving a long fall and surviving the destruction of the column pretty much shames most Kombatants.

Really? They have that few durability feats?
