Unless you have a scan showing this is how Spidey fights, it's pure conjecture. And again, Terry has taken blows from Supes.

A Supes no doubt holding back, mind controlled, or some other shenanigans to make him using less than his full power mind you. Supes never gets to go all-out against Batman, Bruce or Terry.

How do you know he's holding back? Does Spidey never pull his punches? It's been years, but didn't this mind-controlled Supes destroy Terry's ship? What is considered holding back? Why isn't Spidey being questioned by others here?

Because Supes, whenever he fights anyone that isn't an outer-space being that deals crippling blows to him, is almost always depicted as holding back against everyone.
A recent example would be Batman vs Superman, where Superman insists he isn't trying to kill Batman when he begins owning him "If I wanted it, you'd be dead already!", followed by Batman gassing him with Kryptonite in order to gain an advantage- this is an almost constant factor that occurs whenever Superman is the antagonist or battling lower tiers.
He'll dominate the fight because he's fucking Superman but he'll spend most of the fight holding back and getting tacked with all sorts of plot to prevent him from killing someone.
However I'm confused, Batman Beyond is a cartoon but also a comic, so is the cartoon the canon?

Mea quidem sententia wrote:Does Spidey never pull his punches?

Uh yeah, this is something else repeatedly mentioned in comics, how the 'heroes' hold back because they're worried they'll kill people. Spider-Man fights petty crooks and normal humans- he doesn't use his full strength against them because his full strength generally involves throwing around cars, planes, and even tanks.
That's why every crook that takes a hit from Spider-Man and doesn't instantly go down isn't assumed to be able to take his strongest punch.

'Holding back', or in this case, 'being held back', is typically the excuse comic-writers use when they have characters mind-controlled. The idea being that, when something is forcing you to do something, it will not be as effective as if you yourself were trying to do it because you're fighting against it to a degree.
Spidey's strength hasn't been shown yet and I know nothing about 2099 Spider-Man. Feel free to ask for proof of his strength- I was just pointing out how Terry taking a punch from Superman is rather vague since it probably wasn't Superman's full strength- his fights with Batman, old or new, almost never are.

Also let's be honest, that ship gets totaled a LOT in that series.

You're only asserting. Looking at Marvel Wiki, Spidey can't fly. He relies on air currents to glide. Terry can fly. Terry has also taken blows from Supes. Terry actually has fighting experience.

He has thrusters on his current suit

He takes hits from weapons designed to be used against the hulk

Can you give me a reference for the superman hit? Becasue I recall there was a comic where he fought the justice lords superman but he had an upgraded suit. I don't recall his past suit take the kind of damage Supes can dish out and current suit definitly hasn't.

Miguel style incorpeates tricks, his speed, agility, and tech like

cloaking and projections

Explosive

As well as use of his claws to wound

As of recent he's gotten a bit better at control

And venom to paralyze or disoreint

He has fighting experience acquired over years of fighting. It's just not a formal style.

Does Spidey never pull his punches?

He does. However, O'hara has actually fought a version of spiderman that is much less noble and his suit took his claws like a champ

@Friendly AFAIK Batman Beyond canon is both. IIRC the comics take place after the animated series. Worth mentioning that Gordon's Bat Mech was a prototype for the BB suit, chances are BB suit should be at least on par with it. I think the Batwing suit was as well. Could be wrong on the latter

This is probably gonna be my last post on the pile till next week, when finals are over.

Convergence, future's end, and Rebirth changed up a lot of things. Damian is now a part of the canon. The world was devastated by OMAC for a while. Tim was a thing and then he wasn't. Also, there was already a beyond suit prototype

Apparently, it's also more accurate to call it a possible version of the future as it basically another Earth

Did Future's End change stuff? I thought that was still just continuing Terry's story from where they last left him. Although, Convergence and Rebirth changing things makes sense. Is Tim no longer the new Batman Beyond? Don't know how much they changed it though.

This is what I was talking about, by the way: http://imgur.com/a/1mtOA Not a prototype, but Gen 1. version of BB suit.

Nope Tim future and present got kidnapped out of time by Oz. Some making it so Terry having never gone back in time and killed. He was captured and brainwashed into believing he was someone else.
